Joey Badass – Eulogy

American rapper and singer Jo-Vaughn Virginie Scott known professionally as Joey Badass has released a new song, “Eulogy” from his third studio album, “2000.”

“2000” is the follow-up to Joey Badass’ album, ALL-AMERIKKKAN BADA$$, which released over five years earlier in April 2017.

Following January 2022’s “THE REV3NGE,” Joey would release the album’s lead single, “Head High,” on March 3, 2022. A snippet of the song appeared on PRO ERA’s YouTube channel two years before its release.

On May 11, Joey released the album’s trailer, revealing the album’s title 2000 and a release date of June 17. On June 8, Joey confirmed via Twitter that “Head High” would be the only single from the album.

On June 16, the day before the album’s original release date, Joey announced that album had been postponed due to sample clearance issues. On July 1st, Joey released single Where I Belong, which was already teased in album trailer.

Joey Badass is a founding member of the hip-hop collective Pro Era, with whom he has released three mixtapes, as well as his numerous solo projects.

Joey Badass released his debut mixtape, 1999, in June 2012 to critical acclaim and recognition, followed by Rejex in September, and Summer Knights in July 2013. His debut studio album, B4.Da.$$, was released in January 2015. In 2016, he made his television debut on the USA Network series Mr. Robot. His second studio album, All-Amerikkkan Badass, was released in April 2017.

On June 12, 2018, Joey re-issued 1999 on all streaming services and vinyl for its 6th anniversary, and in a following interview with Peter Rosenberg, revealed his fatherhood, making public his first child, then 2-month-old Indigo Rain.

In December 2019, Joey Badass was also featured in XXXTentacion’s second posthumous and last album, Bad Vibes Forever.

In July 2020, Joey Badass released a 3-track EP entitled The Light Pack. In November, he featured on Phony Ppl’s “On My Shit”.
