Alicia Keys Reveals Cover For Eighth Studio Album ‘KEYS’

American singer, songwriter and actress Alicia Keys is releasing a new album soon and the singer has taken to her social media account to share the cover for the album titled KEYS.

First previewed via Alicia’s 2021 Noted YouTube docu-series, the album is set to be released on December 10, 2021 as a double album featuring both fully produced and broken down versions of new material.

Keys released the single LALA (Unlocked) featuring US rapper & singer Swae Lee of the hip hop duo Rae Sremmurd, on September 9 2021. The song was performed at the 2021 MTV Video Music Awards. The single precedes the release of Alicia’s eighth studio album and follow-up companion to 2020’s Alicia, entitled “Keys”.

Born Alicia Augello Cook, Keys she began composing songs by age 12 and was signed at 15 years old by Columbia Records. After disputes with the label, she signed with Arista Records and later released her debut album, Songs in A Minor, with J Records in 2001.

A classically-trained pianist, Keys became an international star in the early 2000s with her sophisticated mix of classic and contemporary R&B.

Behind the number one pop hit “Fallin’,” her first album, Songs in A Minor (2001), sold more than 50,000 copies during its first day of availability and eventually moved over ten million units worldwide, thus setting the stage for the then-20-year-old’s lengthy career.

Since collecting five Grammys for her debut, Keys has continued to refine her signature sound, specializing in aching love ballads and feel-good motivational anthems, appealing to an audience far beyond her R&B base without being overtly pop.
